The Christmas Story
2020 Intergenerational Christmas Program
Calling all who love to share the Christmas story! This year’s Christmas program combines the Christmas story, music, and your favorite memories and traditions - virtually. We will celebrate Christmas with people from First English we haven’t seen for many months. The program will be posted on the church website, YouTube, and Facebook platforms. We will not include participant names on these social media posts.
WHO: Birth through 5th grade, youth, and adults are invited to participate.
HOW: Webcams and cell phones work great for video and audio clips and digital photos.
- Video Clip - Each scene has a short narrated part to video.
- Digital Photos - Don’t want to do a video? Dress up as characters, take a picture, and send us the picture to include with a specific scene
- Musical Selection - One verse of each song may be submitted as a vocal or instrumental selection, as a video clip or audio clip. Deb Stark will reach out to you and provide the music.
- Christmas Memories - Each of us has a favorite memory or tradition. Please - share yours with us in a short video clip. These will be included in the Christmas program. Who knows - you may inspire a new tradition in another household.
WHAT: The Christmas Story script and additional information is available on the webiste, www.firstenglishchurch.com/children-youth--family.html. We will also contact you when you sign up.
WHEN: Videos and photos are to be submitted to Anna Tipton at [email protected] on or before Monday, December 7.
WHY: The Christmas story brings the promise of Jesus to us in a new way each time we hear it. We miss interacting with our faith community and this provides and opportunity for us to share the joy of Christmas together.
