Second Harvest has installed a new food pantry with perishable and nonperishable food items, along with a refrigeration and freezer system. The food will help families at Skyview and those at other school sites. Volunteers will make sure participating families are registered in the system, set appointments for their future visits, and make sure the shopping process runs smoothly. For this, Skyview would like 2 volunteers:
- Tuesdays from 9-11 or 12-2 (please specify in the comments)
- Wednesdays 8-10
- Wednesdays 9:30-2
- Thursdays 9:30-2
- Fridays from 8:30-12
Please sign up as many times as you like, and do not feel obligated to stay the entire time (just leave a note in the comments). If your schedule is flexible during the week, Wednesdays are especially important as this is when they receive new food deliveries.
For safety reasons, the school has asked that volunteers leave young children at home. Children 12+ are welcome to help out.
