Heritage Elementary PTO Committee Positions

 Hello Heritage Families,

We are currently looking for volunteers to help fill Our Heritage PTO Committee Positions for the 2019- 2020 school year. Joining a PTO committee will give you a great opportunity to get a little more involved in activities or areas of special interest to you. Looking to get to know some of our Heritage parents, teachers, and staff better and to really make this year’s events and activities memorable? Committee involvement gives you that chance…there is something for everyone! Read on for more details!

Hero Hustle ( Glow Run) Fundraising Committee ( Fall) (10)

The Hero Hustle is our main fundraiser of the school year. We have moved it to September for this coming school year. The purpose of the Hero Hustle is to combine physical fitness and fundraising.

( Cont. ) Hero Hustle ( Glow Run) Fundraising Committee

(cont.) The committee will help in getting sponsorships for our T-shirts, work on prizes, school spirit days, and school-wide incentives. They will also be in charge of planning and decorating the school gym for the day of the Glow Run.

 

Family-Fun Night Event Committee ( Fall) (10)

This committee will help plan and organize the food trucks, inflatables, face painting, photo booth, games, volunteers, Truck or Treat and DJ. They will also be in charge of promoting all details of the event to ensure a great turn out for our families.

School Supplies Committee (10)

The committee will over see the Heritage School Supply order form info and work with Mrs. Bugg and EPI. School supply order form envelopes need to be completed and passed out the end of Mar. They will also oversee passing out the supplies on Info Day!

Gardening Committee ( all year) (10)

This committee will facilitate activities that help maintain Heritage green space. They will gather volunteers to help plant, water and up keep maintenance around Heritage. A great opportunity for all the green thumbs out there!

Decoration Committee ( All year- low commitment) (10)

This committee will oversee all decorations throughout the school year for Heritage Elementary. This will include Information Day (Aug) and ALL seasonal times throughout the school year.

Teacher Appreciation ( Spring/1st week of May) (10)

This committee will plan, coordinate and execute throughout events and activities for the Heritage teachers and staff during Hero Appreciation Week in May.

Teacher Luncheons/ Hospitality ( All Year) (10)

This committee will organize and facilitate all teacher luncheons throughout the school year. They will provide a lunch for the teachers in August and serve as supervisors for the monthly grade sponsored luncheons.

( Cont.) Teacher Luncheons/ Hospitality ( All Year)

(cont.) The will also provide each grade a Sign-Up Genius which will include a theme lunch menu of items needed for that particular teacher luncheon.

 

Restaurant Nights ( All Year- low commitment) (5)

This committee will contact local restaurants to set up dates and terms for fundraiser nights. They will help promote these nights to achieve the maximum outcome. You will work closely with the Treasurer's to keep track of income.

Box Tops ( All year- low commitment) (5)

This committee will organize and promote the collection of Box Tops throughout the whole school year. We have 3 collection dates ( Oct, Feb, and May). The committee submit all box tops and provide the winning classes a special treat.

Heritage Food Drive ( Dec- low commitment) (10)

This committee will help Mrs. Bugg organize our annual 1 week food drive in December.

Homeroom Coordinator ( All Year) (3)

Helps recruit homeroom volunteers, communicates pertinent information ( class parties, fundraisers, teacher wish trees, teacher birthdays, and teacher appreciation) to each homeroom representative.

Lost and Found Committee ( all year - low commitment (5)

This committee will organize the Lost and Found area located but the Kinder/1st/2nd grade pod. They will display all overflowing garments and make announcements throughout the year to come and check it out before each donation period.

Popcorn/ Popsicles Spirit Days ( all year) (10)

This committee organizes volunteers to help with popcorn in ( Nov, Jan & Feb) or Kona Ice ( Sept, Oct, Mar, April & May). This will take place the 1st friday or every spirit day, of each month during the school year.

Amazon Smile (5)

This committee will work with Mrs. Bugg on compiling all students information, layout details, front cover and printing of the Heritage Elementary School directory.

Will help decorate the 5 PTO bulletin boards throughout the school year.

Spirit Store Committee ( all year) (10)

Our Spirit Store committee sells Heritage school items along with fun novelty items for the students to purchase on each monthly Spirit Day. Spirit Days fall on the 1st Fri. of the month.

5th Grade Liaison (4)

This committee will help organize and promote the 5th grade fundraisers throughout the school year for the 5th grades celebration in May.

Art Pals - Co-Chair ( all year)

Art Pals is a parent-taught art program with accredited art curriculum offered to every child in K-4th grace once per quarter. We need Gr. Team Coordinators for each grade level. Many hands make light work, and this is a FUN opportunity to be involved in.

Team Coordinators will be responsible for helping coordinate sign-ups, stock class supplies bins, coordinate practice workshops for pre-lesson run-throughs and 4 volunteers per class to teach/help in the classrrom during the 1 hr class time with students.
