Northwest HS Booster Club Volunteers
Thank you for volunteering for the Northwest High School Booster Club Mulch Sale. This sale is an important way that the Booster Club raises funds to support ALL student activities at Northwest. We can't do this without you!
We are looking for volunteers to work at the concessions stand (to help feed our volunteers) and to serve as "chase car" drivers.
What is a "chase car" driver?
A chase car driver is a volunteer who meets at school to pick up student volunteers. You'll be sent out to follow one of the trucks on its delivery route. When you arrive at a location, the students will help unload the truck and place the bags of mulch where the customer requested. Once mulch has been delivered to that location, you'll drive with the students to the next one. Once the route has been completed, you'll return to the school. Depending on timing (and your willingness to keep helping!), you'll be sent out to follow another truck.
Important information for our drivers
As part of our effort to minimize our organization's risk, and at the suggestion of our insurance carrier, we are requiring any volunteer who will be driving for this year's mulch sale to provide proof of a valid driver's license and proof of current automobile liability insurance. To comply with this request, you will need to provide the following:
1. A photocopy of your driver's license
2. A current certificate of vehicle insurance. This should be requested from your insurance company or agent. It should show liability limits of at least the minimum limits required by the state of Maryland.
Please send this documention to Leslie Block, Booster Club President, at [email protected], and email her if you have any questions.
