Without our parent volunteers, our annual Spring production would never become a reality. Each family is required to volunteer. Volunteers can serve in a variety of ways, such as helping with the production, working at the performances, or leading an exciting committee. There is the option to opt out of volunteering by paying a $200 "buy out" fee. Please look over the various committees listed below to see what area suits you.  We ask each family to volunteer a minimum of 8 hours.  Volunteer sign-ups are due by January 31, 2019, and unfilled hours will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. We look forward to working with you to make this year's production a fantastic family experience!

Tiger Theatre Program Manager

Oversees the theater program. Serves as a liaison between WGTPA board and the directors as well as a liaison between directors and parents and WGE. Oversees program operations. Maintains regular parent communication. Oversees budget.

This person will work with the Project Manager to assist with the production.

 

Volunteer Coordinator

Works with TTPM to determine what volunteer positions are needed and the number of volunteers required for each job. Sets up all volunteer job in Sign up Genius. Works with Tiger Parents to fill all required positions.

Marketing & Fundraising Manager

This person is the VOICE for Tiger Theatre. Builds on past relationships and seeks new ones with local businesses and organizations for the purpose of sponsorships, donations or value add to the program. They are responsible for all materials needed.

Poster Distributor (3)

Walk and drop off posters to local businesses. Drop off donation letters.8 hours

Business Relations Committee (3)

The team will plan ways to connect local businesses with Tiger Theatre. 8+ hours

 

Fundraising Events

Coordinating dinner nights to bring in funds to TT. May also bring in donations directly to TT. 8+ hours

 

Program & Poster Designer

Will work under Marketing & Fundraising Coor, Graphic Design. and TTPM to collect content and layout for programs. Collect and verify all professional credits, thank you's, advertisements, cast names, etc. 8 hours

 

Graphic Designer

Works with the licensing materials to create the Spring design. Design to be used for T-shirts, Programs and Posters. Send all design concepts to printers for printing. 8 hours

 

Communications Manager

Oversee responsibilities of all TT communications; Tiger folders, mail chimp, website management and sandwich board. Will be responsible for gathering content and sending out weekly emails. 8+ hours

Translator

This person will work with the Comms Mngr to translate all printed materials created for communication to parents and community. 8+ hours

Print Production

This person will print, collate and distribute in teacher boxes the flyers, post posters on campus and flyer on sandwich board. 8+ hours

 

Costume Coordinator

This parent will work with Director to conceptualize costumes. Will communicate the costume plan. They will directly oversee the costume committee. They will manage the budget; tracking all expenses. 8+ hours

Costume Committee (8)

No sewing experience needed! They will execute the costume plot whether through purchasing, glueing, renting or contacting other programs for specific characters. Must also be at 1 performance and 1 tech rehearsal. 8+ hours

Makeup Coordinator

The coordinator will work with the director on establishing a vision for lead characters and ensemble. Will lead committee and establish assignments for each volunteer. Will train volunteers on technique as needed. Must have prior experience. 8+ hours

Several hands are needed to apply basic and detailed stage makeup and hair. Majority of time is spent before each performance so show days/times availability is a must. 8+ hours

Working with the Costume Coor and director to find, make or borrow items for both set and characters. There is also a need for participation at some rehearsals to train characters to use props and to train tech crew (students) to prop plot. 8+ hours

Set Design Coordinator

This person will work with Director to conceptualize the set and scenes for the performance. Will work with the Construction crew to build set and Design & Paint Crew to produce scenes. 8+ hours

Event Manager

This person is in charge of the look and feel of the show day ambiance. The planning for the meals, snacks & desserts, show gifts and TT merchandise. The management of the reserved seating and ticket purchases and the management of the Event Coordinator.

Photographer & Videographer (2)

The Photographer is responsible for getting pictures of all the cast members. The Videographer records both casts shows and has a way to mass produce video to sell. 8+ hours

 

Sound & Tech Engineer (2)

Otherwise known as Tech Managers, works with the Director and TTPM to set stage for sound and lighting. Establish mic plot for headsets/characters. Set up and break down of equipment. Is responsible for training tech crew for stage and tech rehearsals.

Tech Assistants (8)

This is a student position for 4th and 5th graders only. Will be trained on all sound equipment; setup, following script for headset setup and exchanges. Techies will be assigned a cast/day and must attend all rehearsals (start date mid-Feb) and shows.

Cast Party Committee (2)

This committee will plan cast ice cream party, purchase supplies and serve to cast members. Coordinate with Director and TTPM for raffle and awards. 4 hours
