Families Moving Forward August 11-18

Beacon's Families Moving Forward is an interfaith social service organization which provides emergency shelter to families with children who are experiencing homelessness. FMF is located in North Minneapolis. As a Host Church, PCC will provide overnight shelter in our building and use volunteers from our congregation, to create private sleeping rooms with beds, serve dinner, breakfast, and fellowship for 4 families. As our church family offers up ourselves and our building to families in need, we will serve these families as “our guests”, making a safe place called HOME. Children can serve along with parents for set up, fellowship or tear down.  Please include them in your family count on the sign up- not just the comment section.

7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Take down living space and sleeping rooms in KidNation. Clear out TV area, toy area, food area, clean breakfast room and put all supplies in storage.

Sunday Lead Evening Host

4:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. An experienced adult volunteer in charge of all volunteers and oversees all activity on a particular evening. This host will communicate with our guests/dinner/fellowship/overnight hosts and is responsible for securing the building.
