Location: San Marcos River Retreat
Description: Departing the Scout House at 5:00PM FRI Aug. 26th, and returning Sunday Aug. 28th around noon. Annual canoe & kayak campout alongside the cool and refreshing San Marcos River. Saturday will be the paddling trip down a section of the river with the troop. Always a lot of fun, and a good way to get back into the scouting year!
Please sign up Scouts and Adults separately. Please specify a single-person kayak or 2-person canoe so I can get a good count. There is an activity fee for this campout. The rental costs for each boat are:
Kayak $50/each
Canoe $80/each
Scouts AND Adults have to have taken the Troop 230 BSA Swim Test this past May and passed as a Beginner or Swimmer Ability Group. Adults and parents attending the campout must have a valid Youth Protection Training certificate and be a registered adult leader with the Troop.
