Patient Care Volunteers and Administrative Volunteers may want to check with a Volunteer Coordinator the day prior to a scheduled visit to ensure a satisfactory work load.
Vigil Volunteers may want to check with a Volunteer Coordinator (#410-987-2003) the day of a scheduled shift to determine if there are clients currently seeking a vigil presence. You will be contacted directly if there is a request for a vigil presence during your on-call shift.

The Hospice of the Chesapeake laptop provided at the Concierge desk may be used to complete an electronic progress note and/or sign up for additional shifts during your visit to the RFICC.
At the Inpatient Care Center directions for each modality can be found in the Volunteer Manual, in the drawer of the front desk. Suggestions have been provided for Concierge Volunteers to provide support on an hourly basis, throughout the facility.
**Volunteer Sign-In Sheets (with mileage) and Hard-copy Progress Notes are collected from the Volunteer Department cubie at the nurses station of the inpatient care center on a regular basis.**
Please note: It is advisable to call the center directly before driving over to provide assistance.
