Auditions for Shrek the Musical and Les Miserables: School Edition

We are so excited to bring these licensed camp productions to StageCoach Theatre! These camps are available via audition only. Open to ages 10 - 18.

SHREK THE MUSICAL

Shrek the Musical Camp Intensive will be held Monday - Friday June 21 - July 2, 2021 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Performances will be held July 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7:00pm and on July 11 at 2:00pm. No performance will be held on July 4.

LES MISERABLES: SCHOOL EDITION

Les Misérables: School Edition Camp Intensive will be held Monday - Friday July 19 - 30 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Performances will be held July 30, 31, August 6 and 7 at 7:00pm and on August 1 and 8 at 2:00pm. 

Actors must be present for all performances.

Tuition for each 2-week camp intensive: $800 + $5.95 service fee
Instructors and Directors: Torie Dunlap (lead for Shrek the Musical) and Linda Cirba (lead for Les Misérables: School Edition)

Once an actor is given a role in a show, they will need to make immediate arrangements for payment of the camp fee. Some scholarships are available through the StageCoach Foundation, Inc. Scholarship applications are available here. Each student will be given (2) free tickets to one performance of their choice, pending availability. 

Auditions will consist of a monologue, a song, and a dance. Auditions will be held in-person on April 10 - Shrek the Musical from 10:00am - 12:00noon, Les Mis from 12:30 - 3:30pm. Those auditioning for both shows should only register for one audition time.

• Sing 2 Songs: 32 bars if uptempo, 16 bars if ballad. Pick one song from the musical you are auditioning for and one that is not from that musical but with similar style/related to roles you want. If you are auditioning for both camps, one song should be from Shrek and the other from Les Mis. Send an audio file of your music BEFORE the audition to [email protected]
• Monologue: If auditioning for one show, (1) one-minute monologue. If auditioning for both shows, two contrasting monologues. 
• Video dance audition: A choreography video will be posted by March 20th. Please watch it and record your dance. Video submissions are due by April 9 at 11:59pm.

We will be in touch soon after April 10th regarding callback information. Callbacks will be held April 24 from 10:00am - 12 noon for Shrek and 12:30 - 3:30pm for Les Mis.
