Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church
The Social Justice Committee is thrilled to announce resumption of AUUC’s weekend meal pack program for 30 children at Halley Elementary School – and we need your help. Due to COVID restrictions and our church building being closed, we’ve made several major, temporary changes. We will deliver 60 meal packs (covers 2 weeks) to Halley ES two times every month, beginning in March.
You and your family can help by signing up to assemble and donate one or more meal packs, each filled with all 10 of the specific food items described below and zipped inside a gallon-size storage bag with slider.
Please drop off your completed meal packs to either Shelley Brosnan’s Fairfax home or to Ed Kringer’s home in Fairfax Station. After you sign-up, Shelley will contact you with the delivery address(es). This information will be emailed out through SignUp Genius.
The SignUp Genius link includes complete descriptions of each of the 10 specific food items needed for each meal pack.
If you have any questions about items that go into the meal pack bags, please contact Shelley Brosnan, 703-283-0523 or [email protected]
Thank you so much for your support of our No Child Goes Hungry/Accotink Program and your flexibility in adapting to these changes. No Child Goes Hungry/Accotink is sponsored by the Social Justice Committee and the Children’s Spiritual Development Committee.
