Each month, Covenant Church is partnering with a ministry in High Point that serves homeless and working poor in our community. Our goal each month is to connect with 16 families who struggle regularly to adequately feed their family and provide some basic staples and maybe even a special treat. Our goal each month is to fill a grocery sack (or several) we can share with these families.
Below you will find food and household items we will be providing. We are asking you to choose 1 (or more) items to contribute. In January we will be delivering on the 23rd at 2:15 p.m. due to the snow forecast for the 16th. All food is to be brought to the church no later than January 23 by noon. All perishable food is to be brought to the church on January 23.
Each month, we are short a few items and have to pick them up before we pack and deliver. If you'd like to make a donation, you can give to THE BENEVOLENCE FUND. That is a fund set aside to help others in our community. Please make sure all donations are clearly marked for their intended use (Sack of Hope).
Designated drop off times are:
Sundays after worship (1/9, 1/23) from Noon to 12:30 pm
Thursday evening, January 13 and 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
We recommend trying Aldi food store for many of these items (especially fresh fruits and vegetables) as they seem to have the best prices.
