Plano East Cross Country
Thank you if you've chosen to host a pasta dinner or are volunteering to bring food/drinks for the students. Please note that if you wish to host, we ask that houses be big enough to accommodate 40-50 people. Students will be expected to help clean up before they leave and chaperones other than the host are required or else we will not have the pasta dinner. This has been a great opportunity for our team to bond over the last couple of years. The expectations on behavior, manners, and respect will be discussed prior.
Each pasta dinner typically has 35-40 team members in attendance with 2-3 chaperones. Dinners are from 6:00-8:30 PM two nights before a meet. Items should arrive at the host house between 5:45 and 6:00 and be ready to serve immediately. PLEASE label items as appropriate for our student-athletes with dietary restrictions. Institutional sized pasta entrees from Sam's/Costco are the most efficient choices, but we will also willingly accept homemade items.
A plastic storage box with plates, napkins, forks, a large salad bowl, and serving utensils will rotate between houses.
Team members pay $3 per meal per UIL rules. This money is collected by the house and put back into the booster club. Attendance is strongly encouraged throughout the season.
