The KidPack Program is a free, optional, supplemental weekend food program for Kindergarten to Fifth Grade Students in the White Bear Area Schools. Enrolled Students will receive a bag of single-serve food items (including 2 breakfast, 4 lunches, and a handful of snack items) on the last day of the school week to bring home for the weekend.
We are excited to invite volunteers to join us at Community of Grace Lutheran Church (4000 Linden St. WBL) to pack KidPacks for our weekly distributions. This may also include lifting flats of soup, cereal, and other food items used for KidPacks. Some weeks we will be preforming other activities vital to the success of the Food Shelf. These activities include, but are not limited to, sorting donations, bagging diapers and dog food, and making bonus bags.
Masks are now optional for all staff and volunteers in the Food Shelf building and at Food Shelf programs. We will continue to follow the MN Dept of Health and Ramsey County recommendations and make changes as the COVID-19 Community Levels are updated in the future.
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer alone and youth ages 12-15 are welcome with an adult. New volunteers, please bring a signed copy of the Volunteer Application & Agreement to your first KidPack Volunteer Shift.
The available slots are listed below. Just click on the Sign Up button next to each day you'd like to volunteer, then Submit and Sign Up at the bottom of the screen to get registered. Thank you!
