***Volunteers are needed for gathering and counting donations at school as well as delivering goods to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
School breaks should be exciting. For some, no school means not enough food. “Lunch for the Break” ensures all ISD kids have enough to eat, even when school’s out. Here is what each grade is responsible for gathering for the drive:
Kindergarten—Canned tuna or chicken and Crackers
First Grade—Standard size of Cereal and 12-18 ounce jar of jam/jelly
Second Grade—Dry Black Beans and Granola Bars
Third Grade—16 ounce box of Spaghetti and Peanut Butter
Fourth Grade—Progresso or Chunky canned soup and 8-24 count of Corn tortillas
Fifth Grade—24 ounce jar of pasta sauce and Shelf stable milk boxes (2% or chocolate)
Sci-Tech—16-32 ounce bags of white rice and 15 ounce or larger cans of Canned peaches or pineapple
If you would like to contribute, but are not able to donate food, please consider making a financial contribution to help purchase perishables. Each box costs $55 to fill, pack, deliver. For every $3.75 donated an item will be added to your child's grades tally.
February 12, 2020 is the last day to donate. Your donations directly impact families experiencing food insecurity in our community. Visit Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank for more information.
