Tree Planting Volunteers
Join us on Saturday, October 5th as we plant 157 trees at the Butterfield Basin. The City of Morgan Hill has partnered with and received a grant from CAL FIRE as part of the California Climate Investments Program to increase the tree canopy and provide environmental benefits to the City of Morgan Hill. Planting trees provides shade that cools our city and slows traffic on residential streets while also producing healthy living conditions by cleaning the air we breathe and water we drink.
Tree leaders will be at Butterfield Basin, on the corner of Maple Ave. and Railroad Ave., to help volunteers and oversee the event. Children are welcome! Please wear closed-toed shoes and appropriate attire. We will be planting rain or shine. Barbeque lunch and light refreshments will be served, so don’t forget your water bottle! No planting experience is necessary.
