Solidarity Sandy Springs
The Solidarity Sandy Springs launched a Pop-Up Pantry in partnership with our friends at Under The Cork Tree open on March 27th, 2020. June 2nd, we moved to a new location at 120 Northwood Drive Suite and now we are moving again! Starting on August 4th we will back at the Prado in in the old Publix space located at 5630 Roswell Road. For now, our days and hours remain the same: 9am - Noon; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. We will be there everyday (except Sundays) from 9am-11am to receive donations and to restock. Modeled after the Sandys Springs Charter Middle School PTO campaign called, FEED SSCMS, we strive to assist our local schools with students in need!
The process is simple - if a family comes in wanting to donate groceries, they can either bring them in through the front or side door OR let us know and we will send a volunteer out with a cart to unload their car. If a family comes in needing groceries, they can come during pantry hours and shop for what they need.
We are a no-questions-asked project, to assist our school aged families in Sandy Spring community! It is our goal to service our most at risk families. The South annex services Lake Forest Elementary, High Point Elementary, Ridgeview Middle School and Riverwood High School. The North Annex pantry helps all the schools that feed into North Springs High School: Dunwoody Springs, Ison Springs, Woodland, Spalding, and Sandy Springs Charter Middle School. Anyone who comes in with a need should feel welcome to take some groceries home.
Please give any walk-in cash donations to Erin Olivier or Jennifer Barnes.
If you can help, please sign up. PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING.
--All volunteers and anyone coming in to receive groceries MUST WEAR A MASK!
--One family member per family can shop. We will allow only 3-4 shoppers at a time to minimize the number of people in the pantry area.
