Course Crew (8)

Help with course repair and race arena set-up and tear down, including transporting fencing, gates, rakes, shovels, salt bags, and drills.

 

Assistant Starter

Assistant starter calls the competitors to the start in their start order and assists in getting the racers lined up and into the start area.

 

Hand Timer Start (2)

Hand timers use a stopwatch and clipboard to hand record all the starts/finishes for use in the case of an electrical timing malfunction.

 

Hand Timer Finish (2)

Hand timers use a stopwatch and clipboard to hand record all the starts/finishes for use in the case of an electrical timing malfunction.

 

Gate Judges (8)

Gate judges are responsible for watching every racer complete an assigned number of gates and record defaults. Training, rule review and materials will be provided.

 

Bib Collection (Half-Day Credit) (2)

Bib collection volunteers will gather bibs at the end of the second race and hang bibs back on the hooks in the bib room. After the race hang up all bibs and write down any missing numbers.

 

Kitchen Set-up & Clean-up

Set up the kitchen with paper products and plastic utensils, monitor access (kindly keep athletes out of the kitchen) and clean up after lunch.

 

Volunteer Lunches (Half-Day Credit) (6)

Provide soup, crock-pot food, sandwich makings, a side dish or dessert for the volunteers and staff.

 

General Help

If all the positions are filled or you would like to shadow a particular position for training purposes, sign up for general help. There are also always last minute job duties that we need help with!
