THANK YOU for choosing to volunteer at Wayside Waifs!
Tails are wagging and cats are meowing in excitement over your participation. Volunteers and fosters play a vital role within our organization. Your support directly impacts the quality of life for the thousands of animals who come through our doors each year.
Volunteers need to be at least 16 years old, or between the ages of 13-15 with a parent, and will commit to three months of weekly shifts.
The first step toward becoming a volunteer is to sign up for a new volunteer information session. Upcoming dates and times are listed below.
At our information sessions you’ll get a chance to learn more about the programs and services of Wayside Waifs, plus what you can expect as a volunteer. After some Q&A, you can decide if volunteering at Wayside Waifs is the right fit for you. A tour of the shelter is offered as well.
Informational sessions take place at the Wayside Waifs campus at:
3901 Martha Truman Road,
Kansas City, MO 64137
Signs in the lobby will direct you to the community room where the information session will take place.
Please arrive in time to check in and find a seat. If you arrive after the information session has started, you will not be admitted. If you are coming to Wayside Waifs campus for the first time, please plan ahead. We strongly recommend that you arrive at least 10 minutes early.
