Put on your walking shoes for this Back Bay tour of three incredible churches featuring stained glass windows by La Farge and Tiffany. Learn how each artist and designer reinvented the art of stained glass.
At the Arlington Street Church we’ll view 16 stained glass windows which exemplify Tiffany’s brilliant use of confetti glass, iridescent glass, 3-D effects drapery glass, opalescent favrile glass and glass layering.
We will visit the Church of the Convenant, home of the largest glass Tiffany ecclesiastical interior in the country. The interior includes a gigantic electrified Tiffany lantern, 42 Tiffany stained glass windows and mosaics. View this video to see the interior of the church.
At Trinity Church, you’ll see why La Farge is most noted for his innovative use of opalescent glass.
After the tour, join us for lunch at one of the area’s great eateries.
