2020 Pasta Palooza Silent Auction Basket Sign Up

Silent Auction Donations FAQ’s

How much should each family donate?  At least $30 in value per family.  Black Friday is a good time to shop at a discount! You do not have to spend your own money to donate!  Do you have a service or a special skill?  Check with your employer or your other contacts.  They may be willing to donate products, services, gift cards, sports tickets or other valuable items to silent auctions.

Are used items o.k.?  New items only, please. Re-gifting of new items is o.k. and old sports collectibles/memorabilia that have been displayed are o.k.

Should I wrap my basket?  No. It's helpful not to so we can catalog your basket for the bid sheets. Please don't forget to pack your items in basket or container of some sort! Please note we may combine or divide items to ensure we have a good range of baskets and values.

What do you mean by “basket”?  Does it have to be in a basket?  Your donation can be in any type of container.  Sometimes the donation itself is the container – for example, you could use a cooler for the container for picnic items.

Is it o.k. to donate a cash donation instead of a basket?  Yes, this will be an option this year. We are opening a certain amount of spots for a cash or donations. This can be an option instead of one of the baskets options. These items will be worth more because there is no work involved in buying items to make a basket. The committee instead will use these items to make additional baskets as needed.

What about Tickets or gift cards?  These are GREAT items and we will use them! See the description above.

When is the deadline for Cash or Gift Cards?  If you opt to donate cash or gift cards, the deadline for these will be earlier than the baskets. These will be due BY the parent meeting on January 3rd.

Where do I drop off my basket?  Deadline?  January 11th is the last day to drop off.   Please call before you stop by.

You can also drop at off at the Dome when we have our winter workouts or bring to the first baseball meeting in January.

Can I just bring my item on the day of the event?  No.  Sorry, but we can’t manage adding a lot of bid sheets and displays the day of the event.

What about large items? Awesome! Contact Merethe at [email protected] or Chris at [email protected] to make arrangements.
