Join your STM family in celebrating the Communion of Saints this "All Saints' Day" weekend by participating in the Parade of Saints on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th from 6pm until 6:30/6:45 pm.
ALL parishioners (singles, couples, families, empty nesters) are invited to gather for a time of prayer, celebration, and community.
This event will have 3 stages:
Stage one: Those parishioners interested in decorating the trunk of their cars in a non-scary Halloween theme may arrive at the STM parking lot between 5 pm and 6 pm. It is optional for the host of the cars to dress up as their favorite saint or the patron cause of a saint (see "Twist on Costumes" below for a further explaination). NO NEED TO PURCHASE CANDY for DISTRIBUTION.
Stage two: Those youth (ages birth through middle school) who like to traditionally dress up for Halloween arrive at 6 pm to participate in the Parade of Saints.
A "Twist on Costumes"...
To celebrate our Catholic tradition in the belief of the Communion of Saints, let us encourage one another to dress up as either your favorite saint or as the patron cause of a saint. Ex: You can dress up as St. Michael the Archangel with wings and a mighty firey sword, or a police officer whose patron saint is St. Michael the Archangel.
Stage three: The Parade of Saints will begin promptly at 6 pm with a Prayer Service followed by the youth in costume parading up and down the decorated car area and concluding the evening with a take-home bag of treats.
To plan for the event, please utilize the sign up below to inform us of how you will be participating.
