Support Siouxland Soldiers

Holidays for our Heroes, Dec. 13

Dear Volunteers,

Thank you for helping us provide a nice Holiday dinner event for our Siouxland Veterans and their families! Support Siouxland Soldiers will host their 11th Annual "Holidays for our Heroes" event on Thursday, December 13 at Liberty Elementary, 1623 Rebecca St. Sioux City 51103. The festive event will include a catered Holiday meal, free holiday groceries, gifts, clothing, haircuts, live music and a resource fair. Please choose 1 time slot and task below you'd like to help with. Thanks again for helping us serve our Siouxland Heroes, especially those who need us the most! 

Here are some event tips:

SCROLL DOWN and select the time slot and task you would like to volunteer for below.

Instructions:
1. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your shift.

2. Upon arrival please check-in at the front desk.

3. Please also sign-up to bring a pie or new unwrapped toy

3. Wear tennis shoes, comfortable festive clothes and have long hair pulled back

5. Please stay until your shift is complete and help with clean-up

6. Please thank the Veterans and Military families for their service as often as possible throughout the event

7. Thanks again and we hope you have a great time and make many new friends!

Help Veterans go through the buffet, get their beverages, silverware, pie, beverage refills, clean tables, throw away garbage, if a Veteran is alone please sit with them, Thank the Veterans and Military families for their service
