Scouts and Scouters, we are closing registration for our 75th banquet next Thursday 11/1/18.
Please, if you want to attend let us know. We are at 150 attendees and need to get our final numbers into the Banquet hall. I can promise you we will have a great time of fellowship and memories.
Things we have planned:
When you come to the CC Technical College you will see our new trailer that we bought in 2017. Here you can drop off any equipment you just happened to find in your garage or shed and anything you might want to donate to the troop i.e. equipment, scout clothes etc. The most original troop equipment return will win a prize!
Once you enter the building you will go to the registration table to sign in. The chatty hour will be from 230 -330, come early to see friends and share memories. As you walk down the hallway to the banquet hall each troop and pack will have a display along with a few other historical displays from Troop 52 and the Trimble Collection. Closer to the hall you will be able to get a picture at our photo booth and do a video at the video station. When you get to the hall there will be a table to buy troop shirts, Christmas ornaments and tickets for our gift baskets. We have about 25 so far! (and are always looking for more!)
At 330 we will begin our presentations. State Senator Dinneman and State Representative Roe will be speaking and giving the Troops and Packs a Flag and proclamation. We also have proclamations from Governor Wolf, Representative Costello , Senator Tomey and a few surprise congratulatory letters!
Each Pack and Troop will give a presentation along with Octoraro OA, Chester County Council 100 Anniversary Committee Bard member, and our Eagle Scout mentor.
430-5 is Dinner
At 515 we will have our closing presentations and acknowledgements of Scout Leaders and Eagles.
We fully expect all of this to be completed by 6!
So sign up before 11/1 and be a part of all the fun!
This is the official sign up for Troop 52’s 75th anniversary banquet. Please speak to any alumni you are in contact with and send them this link.

Our troop, although founded earlier, has been continuously serving the Marshallton / West Bradford community since 1943. It is fitting that we plan a gathering to celebrate this monumental achievement.
I will be looking for volunteers to help me with this. I ran a Buffalo Wild Wings event last year with about 50 people at the event to help earn money for our trailer and it was a success. I believe this will be too but it will serve as a time to reflect and reconnect our troop with its past present and future!
Our plans are
1-Having this dinner/banquet during the Thanksgiving break on 11/17/18 as any newer alumni who are in college can be available and older alumni can have a day to travel if they are out of the area.
2-We plan on hosting a few gatherings prior to reconnect and have the current scouts interview past leaders and scouts on their experiences. We could do a few social gatherings prior to the event. One will be at Buffalo Wild Wings in Downingtown. Please note if you go to BWW anytime from now till out gathering in July/August let them know you are with Team B and we will get 10% of your bill. The BWW day will have prizes and a random player cornhole double elimination tournament.
3-Use this banquet as a fundraiser where we will sell troop logo clothing and Christmas ornaments
4-Honor our past leaders and scouts with awards (some humorous)
5- Gather old equipment from the troop alumni that may be sitting in someone’s garage. The oldest and oddest will win an award, Also ask for any equipment you may want to get rid of and donate to the troop.
