BT Hot Lunch 2021
Please see the attachment for Hot Lunch Menu Ideas. To determine how much food to make for a lunch, take your recipe and multiply it by whatever number needed to make about 70-80 servings (75 students + 6-9 teachers). If you have sides such as fruit, vegetables, chips, fries, bread, etc., it will reduce the amount needed to feed all. Plus, some younger eaters, usually don’t eat a full serving. Served on or with bread or pasta, a pound of ground beef can generally stretch to about 6 to 8 servings. So, depending on the dish, you may need about 9 to 12 lbs. of ground beef (72 servings / 6; 72 servings / 8).
There won’t be milk offered daily this year. Students will need to bring a water bottle. But if a parent making/serving hot lunch would like to also provide milk, they may do so.
Receipts for the meal and drink, if any, can be turned into the school office for reimbursement. On the day you COOK, your kids eat free.
Cost is $2.50/student/meal. Checks need to be paid by the end of the first month of the quarter (i.e. end of September, end of December, and end of March).
