After Prom 2019

After Prom 2019

What is After Prom?
It's almost time for the wildly successful QUINCE ORCHARD AFTER PROM PARTY.   The AFTER PROM PARTY is an MCPS-approved, safe, alcohol-free, supervised event for our students to hang out with FRIENDS, play GAMES, eat lots of great FOOD, win awesome PRIZES and most importantly HAVE FUN! The AFTER PROM is held at QOHS for juniors and seniors (and their Prom dates) after the Prom dance.

When and where is After Prom?
The After Prom party starts at 12:30 am May 18th after the Prom dance and ends at 3:30 am. It is held at Quince Orchard High School in the gym and cafeteria.

How can you help?
The success of the After Prom relies on our wonderful QO volunteers helping before and during the event.  Please take a look at the VOLUNTEER LIST below - there is something for everyone. Please include your cell phone number next to your name when you sign up for a job.

Details you need to know:

Volunteers are needed to make donations, set up before and clean up after the event, and help during the event.  There will be a short orientation provided to the volunteers at the beginning of the shift.  All volunteers will be asked to CHECK IN and OUT at the event to help us best use your help. The After Prom Committee may need to reassign volunteers during the event as needed.
If you are signing up to make donations, please note the time and drop-off location for each donation item.

Many students come to the AFTER PROM event directly from the Prom dance and change into casual clothes. Some students don’t attend the Prom dance, but come to the After Prom to join the fun.

Thank you for your help in making this the best After Prom for our QO students!  Our students deserve a great night and we appreciate your help in any way you can assist to make the After Prom a great event.

If you have any questions please contact Elizabeth Schruefer, Volunteer Coordinator at (301) 980-0241 or [email protected].
