No Show Ball

2021 Forrest Spence Fund "No Show Ball" Volunteer Sign-up

The No Show Ball is a play on the truth that the majority of the fundraisers we know about are events where attendance is mandatory.  But on the day of the No Show Ball, the event comes to the participant in the form of a dinner dropped off on the doorstep in a cooler bag to enjoy, while benefiting The Forrest Spence Fund.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! 

Saturday, February 6

  • All volunteers should come to Chickasaw Oaks Mall (the old Pier 1 Imports - facing Walnut Grove) 3115 Walnut Grove, Memphis, TN 38111. Please park in any spot that is not marked with a cone.  We will be in an empty storefront facing Walnut Grove - the old Pier 1 Imports. 
  • ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST WEAR MASKS.  WE WILL BE SOCIALLY DISTANCING FROM ONE ANOTHER IN THE SPACE.  There will be plenty of space in Pier 1 to spread out.  
  • We will also provide GLOVES to all volunteers and drivers.  
  • If you are going to deliver coolers, please park in the designated spaces marked with orange cones in front of the former Pier 1 Imports. Stay in your car - we will bring the coolers to you. Ideally reverse your car into the parking spaces so we can easily put the coolers in your trunk. 
  • Volunteers may sign up for multiple time slots and/or jobs.
  • If you can't find us- please call Molly Griesbeck (230-8078) and we will direct you.

Volunteers are needed to pack coolers in an assembly line. Children under 12 must accompany and work with a parent. Don't mark children under 12 for a volunteer spot, just put in the comments you are bringing a child under 12 with you.
