Hackathon 2019 Introducing Julia
The Memorial High School Coding Club invites you to

Introducing Julia, featuring SeatsX
Coding Club members will help kids install the Julia programming environment and lead them through an introduction to the Julia programming language.
Kids will use what they learn to create a computer program with Julia.
SeatsX will demonstrate their social media-driven Commute Communities and Uber-like Ride Marketplace car pool app.
Kids will evaluate the app's user interface and write app code.
Who is invited? Any current SBISD middle or current SBISD high school student

When is it? 6:00 PM until midnight on Friday, May 3rd
If you are late you will miss getting help with the software installations.
If you want to download and install the software ahead of time, instructions are provided in 2 files you can download below.
What do the students need to bring?
- A fully-powered laptop on which the student can wirelessly download and can install software (The student must have the software authorization to install software on their laptop. The student can't do this on their Chromebook.)
- The student's SBISD user name and password
- Food and drinks if the student has dietary concerns
- If you want to download and install the software ahead of time, instructions are provided in 2 files you can download below.
Pizza, snacks and drinks will be provided by parents and other Hackathon supporters.

Registration will continue only through midnight on Tuesday, April 30th.
Students have to be pre-registered and have to help clean up after the event.
Parents have to sign the student in and out of the cafeteria personally.
This signup works best for signing up just one student.
