The PTO is excited for another great school year! We are thrilled to have so many wonderful volunteers already... and we're looking for some more! 5th Grade Graduation Co-Chairs (2)

5th grade parent co-chairs will organize volunteers via Sign Up Genius for all 5th grade graduation needs such as yearbook group, fundraising, 5th Grade Service Project, graduation ceremony etc.

3rd Grade Menotomy Days Co-Chairs (2)

Organize volunteers via Sign Up Genius, for various Menotomy Days activities, such as candle making, weaving, field day games, apple crisp making, etc. Colonial Days takes place each year in early June

 

Brackett Bank (5)

Work with Chair Patty Kragh. Volunteers needed on Friday mornings from 8:20 - 9:20 to assist students with their banking needs.

 

Kindergarten Picnic

Organize annual picnic for new Kindergartners and their families. This event takes place in early September.

 

Bake Sale Coordinators (2)

Organize volunteers via Sign Up Genius to bake items and volunteer time to sell baked goods during a major town/ state/ or federal election day. The first election is Tuesday November 8th.

Box Tops

Organize the collecting and counting of Box Tops. Typically two collections in a school year, one in the late fall and one in the spring.

 

Art Cafe Bake Sale

Sell baked goods, pizza and salads in the cafe during the Art Show. Get creative with music on stage and craft paper and crayons on the dining tables. A much loved yearly event!

Fundraising Co-chairs (2)

Work with the PTO committees to oversee fundraising efforts. Pitch in ideas to make the bake sales, annual appeal, June Fair etc as profitable as possible.

 

Art Squad Co-Chairs (2)

Sponsor monthly after school art classes and organize community art show in the spring.

 

Read-A-Thon Co-Chairs (2)

Organize the wildly successful fundraiser and community builder held mid-year. Coordinate with teachers to roll out the read-a-thon following last year's program. Add your creativity to get kids excited about reading!

 

Online Auction (3)

Lend a hand to a much loved new tradition. Solicit items to auction, collect donated gifts and help distribute them to the winning bidders.

 

Holiday Helper Program (5)

Help collect, organize and deliver holiday gifts donated by Brackett families to needy children in Arlington in early December.

Help children pick out books during library time, restack books and help with early morning reading times.

International/Cultural Night (3)

Help organize Brackett's first International night. Celebrate our diverse community through an evening of "host" country tables, food, music and storytelling.

STEM Committee (2)

Facilitate in-class science and math experiments, coding day, STEM night, help run math mornings etc.

 

Library Co-Chair

Works with current cochair to identify and address library needs.

Green Initiatives Group (GIG) Co-chair (2)

Help identify and coordinate programs for Brackett including annual plant sale, composting, special green educational events, town projects and more.
