Workshop for Students
This is a unique experiential learning program for 6th and 7th graders.
Join us for a 5-week program that empowers young athletes to gain the life skills they need on and off the field. This program will be facilitated by a team of high school juniors who understand what it's like to grow up playing sports in Rye. They especially understand and experienced first-hand how the "playing field" changes in 6th and 7th grade. They know, and remember themselves, how so many kids experience the loss of joy in their sports in 6th and 7th grades, often due to the competitive landscape.
This program focuses on the positive life skills and important learnings that emerge from such experiences. Participating kids will learn how to gain confidence, establish a pro work ethic and improve their time management, articulate and understand the value of teamwork and all it teaches, and empower themselves to find their voices and become leaders.
Space is limited to 20 for this inaugural program.
