4 - Culinary Medicine Interprofessional Simulation

YOU MUST ALSO BE ENROLLED IN GUS: IPE IPEC 1401 001- Immersion Simulation Activity at least seven (7) days prior to the date of the event you are participating in.
 
If you are not enrolled in the GUS course by that time, you will *not* be able to participate and must sign up for a different event on a different date. **COM Students - Your college pre-enrolls you in GUS**

Students from multiple UAMS colleges will participate in an interprofessional cooking simulation. Students will be presented with a case study and then charged to create a nutritious, cost-effective meal using the materials provided.

THIS IS A LIVE, FACE-TO-FACE EVENT.
YOU MUST ATTEND IN PERSON
No remote opportunities are available. 

***Students must review the attached Module 1 Study Guide PRIOR to the simulation.

Select "Sign up" for your college, then click "Submit and Sign Up" to go to the sign up page. Only sign up for one session. Please be sure to enter your specific program as well. Please sign up as soon as possible, so we can ensure we have interprofessional teams available to participate. We may have to cancel sessions if we do not have enough students available.

You must sign up by noon the day PRIOR to the event.

PLEASE NOTE-You must adhere to the following general kitchen safety guidelines for the simulation:

***General Kitchen Safety Rules:
1) Wear closed-toed shoes
2) Avoid wearing loose-fitting clothing or scarves
3) Pull long hair back
4) Remove all jewelry, especially dangling earrings
5) You MUST wear a mask

**You must complete the UAMS online COVID entry screening before arriving and be prepared to show the facilitator your clearance email.

All participants must be there at the scheduled start of the activity or you will not be allowed to participate.
