You are cordially invited to a Congregation-Wide Book Club Series
Read. Connect. Engage.
October 14th - October 28th - November 18th - December 2nd
7:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
The first book selection is How to Be an AntiRacist, by Ibram X. Kendi.
“By not running from books that pain us, we can allow them to transform us. I ran from anti-racist books most of my life, but now I can’t stop running after them, scrutinizing myself and my society, and in the process, changing both.” - Ibram X. Kendi.
Some details about how the Book Club Series will work.
- All meetings will be via Zoom.
- All are invited to attend – whether you read the book or not, whether you want to speak or just listen.
- You can come to all or any of the sessions – even if you miss the beginning ones, you are welcome at later sessions.
- The book is available on Amazon, or you may choose to purchase it via local independently owned bookstores. Several lending copies are available from the church as well; please contact the church office should you wish to borrow one.
Please save these Wednesday evenings for discussion, each beginning at 7:30 p.m. and ending at approximately 8:45 p.m. Each session will be led by a member of the initial conversation team and will focus discussion around specific chapters. Should you have any questions, please contact the church office.
