2019 Taste of Frankfort Avenue Volunteer Sign-up

The Taste is coming up and we need your help! This is the 26th annual event, and dozens of volunteers are needed to make it another big success! Volunteers are needed for setup, registration, greeting, raffle ticket selling, restaurant support, and clean-up!  

We are looking forward to celebrating 26 amazing year's of food fun in the neighborhood, thank you for being a part of it.

Sunday Setup: 9am - 12n (12)

Help set up pipe & drape, mark spaces for restaurant booths, hang signs and banners, help decorate the facility, and complete other setup tasks as needed.

Registration Volunteers Shift #1: 4:00pm-6:30pm (4)

Volunteers should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy interacting with the public. Will be selling day-of tickets, and handling will-calls.

Registration Volunteers Shift #2: 6:30pm-8pm (2)

Volunteers should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy interacting with the public. Will be selling day-of tickets, and handling will-calls. At the end of the night volunteers will need to clean-up registration.

Restaurant Registration Volunteers 2pm-5pm (4)

Register restaurant participants and volunteers as they arrive, distribute information, direct them to their assigned location, and assign Restaurant Support Volunteers to assist them.

Greeters 4:30pm-7:30pm (2)

Greeters will greet patrons as they enter the event, direct them to the appropriate entrance and to the ticket sales or will-call table, as appropriate, and distribute printed material. As well as check IDs and wristband attendees.

Restaurant Support Volunteers Shift #1 2:30pm-5:30pm (4)

Assist participating restaurants with move-in and set-up prior to starting time, be available during the event to help troubleshoot problems with equipment, supplies, or other needs, and assist restaurants with tear-down and move-out following the event.

Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and able to stand for extended periods of time. Sell, and serve alcohol and soft drinks under a paid bartender's supervision.
