Distribute 'Scouting For Food' informational door hangers to residences in Patrol designated neighborhoods. (patrol directory attached)
'Scouting For Food' is a food-drive program where scouts promote (nonperishable) food donation within their local community, collect donated food, and deliver collected food to local food banks. The Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano receives the food collected by Troop 200 scouts in Lafayette.
Date: Saturday, November 10th
Start Time: 8:30AM
End Time: ~ 10:00AM
Location: OSLC (meet-up location)
- 8:30 AM: Meet-up at OSLC for organization, instruction, distribution of materials, and neighborhood assignment.
- 9:00 AM: Depart OSLC (in Patrol drivers' vehicles) to assigned neighborhood and distribute 'door hangers' to residences. (ADULTS: link to BSA YPT and attached Drivers Pledge must be complete)
- ~10:00 AM: After door hangers have been placed at each residence within the Patrol's assigned neighborhood, return to OSLC. (Door hanger distribution time is a factor of assigned neighborhood, number of scouts and drivers participating, and ability of scouts to quickly place door hangers.)
