Rye Cub Scout Pack 2
Come enjoy an overnight visit to the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum with Rye Pack 2!
The Intrepid's Operation Slumber is an adventure for all ages. After arriving at 6PM on Saturday evening, you'll have the chance to check out the Intrepid aircraft carrier, various planes and the Space Shuttle Pavillion. Plus, you can enjoy planetarium shows, simulator rides and hands-on educational activities, as well as a flashlight guided tour of the flight deck! Then you can roll out your sleeping bag on a cot on-board the ship for some shut-eye as the evening wraps up. After breakfast the next morning, you'll be on your way by 8AM and all youth participants will go home with a T-shirt and patch.
A few key things to keep in mind:
- This Signup will close at 7PM on April 26th so we can give final numbers to The Intrepid Museum.
- Cost is $99/person
- The Intrepid sets the minimum age for partcipants at 6 so while we always welcome siblings to join us at Pack events, please keep this age restriction in mind.
- Dinner, a snack and breakfast are included but you'll want to bring your sleeping bag, toilettries, pajamas, a change of clothes and consider bringing a warm jacket (even in June an evening tour of the flight deck can be chilly).
- You will need to fill out a release and medical/allergy form 3 weeks before the event. This will be sent out to all those who sign up at the end of April.
