During the day on Saturday, we will be skiing and/or tubing at nearby Shawnee Mountain Ski Area, less than 10 minutes from the cabins.  Scouts will buy lunch for themselves on the mountain, and should carry spending money accordingly.  The costs of equipment rentals and lift tickets will be the responsibility of each scout, and will not be collected through SignupGenius:

    • Detailed instructions to follow, closer to the trip

  • Rental Equipment: $40 (snowboard also costs $36 if people want)
    • Required Waiver signed by parent or guardian (downloadable)

  • Tubing: $25 for 2 hours, $40 for 4 hours
    • No advance reservations for tubing, must be ticketed on mountain as available
    • Required Waiver signed by parent or guardian (downloadable)

Things to remember:
- Bring your personal mess kit, water bottle and cup
- Bring a sheet if you want to cover your mattress (so your face isn't on the ancient plastic)
- Bring your sleeping bag (and a pillow if desired) - keep it dry in your bag/pack

- Bring all the normal clothes you'd bring for a cold, snowy, wet weekend
- Lots of extra socks
- Boots
- Gloves (I'm bringing two pairs)
- Slippers or socks for wearing in the cabin (no wet boots past the entranceway)

- Bring your stuff in a duffel bag or backpack that you can carry for 1/2 a mile. Backpack is probably better.
- We might not be able to get all the cars up to the cabin, so you may need to carry your stuff a bit.

- Bring scoutcraft gear to either teach or learn tenderfoot, 2nd and 1st class requirements
- Knives, rope, sharpening stones, compass, map, etc.

- Electronics. Don't bring ipods, video games, etc. You may bring cell phones, but they will be held by an adult leader until the trip has ended.

Registration Notes: Put the PARENT's NAME in the "Name" section of the registration form - put the scouts' name in the "Scout's Name" field!

Payment Notes: If you wish to pay for this campout with your 10% account, please pay for the campout within this form and then submit the email receipt to Mr. Bumiller for reimbursement from your 10% account.
