LIMIT 15 Adult Students: $100 for 8 Classes - For All Levels of Student Experience - Beginner to Advanced - Since COVID-19 Meeting Restrictions (how many people can meet at one time) change frequently, You will NOT be asked to pay until 1 week before the first class of the series.

Maria Mariottini will teach The Garden as Inspiration - Watercolor Class - an 8 week class that explores forms and textures in the Spring Wicker Park Garden. The first session will be an intro to the materials and technique. Each following session will have a focus to encourage expanded skill in using watercolor. The goal after 8 weeks is to fill your notebook with observations and your paintings that will fuel ideas and aspiration for your future work.
STUDENTS PROVIDE The Following Items for the Class - Masks and Social Distancing are Required of all in the class.
- A block of watercolor paper approximately 8in x 12in
- Watercolors block or tube
- 3 water color brushes of various sizes
- Masking tape - narrow (1/4in width) and wide (1in width)
- A board at least as big as your paper
- Small watercolor palette
- Paper towels or clean rags
ABOUT MARIA MARIOTTINI: Maria has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago and a Master in Educating Adults from DePaul. She produced the Bucktown Arts Fest for 20 years and still serves as a juror. She is committed to the value of arts and community.
THE GARDEN AS INSPIRATION SERIES
GOAL OF THE SERIES: The Goal of the Series is to explore the Wicker Park Gardens as a source of inspiration to YOU as you learn various painting and drawing techniques, to meet and share your work with others, and to assist in funding the 10,000 square feet of gardens in Wicker Park.
The Garden As Inspiration Series is a Project of the Wicker Park Garden Club and Advisory Council.
