Innovation Food Forest

Volunteer at the Food Forest

Volunteer with the Office of Sustainability at the Innovation Food Forest.

Learn how to identify the plants in the garden; fruit trees, shrubs, herbs, and weeds. Then, help us to remove the invasive weeds. You may also be asked to help with mulching, composting and more.

You get to snack on and take home whatever is ready to harvest! We have tons of medicinal and culinary herbs, as well figs and ground cherries that are ripening now, if you can find them!

If you plan to volunteer we recommend wearing clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting wet or dirty. Please bring your own reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. We recommend wearing a hat and/or sunscreen, as well. We will provide training, bug spray, gloves and tools.

If it is raining, the shift will be canceled. Please text or call Doni with any last minute questions at 978-609-6042.

Feel free to watch our introductory videos to become more familiar with the site, before you get started:
