Thank you for giving of your time to volunteer at the Saint Agnes Drive-Thru Fish Fry during the 2021 Lenten Season.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: IF YOU ARE WORKING AROUND THE FOOD, PLEASE BE SURE TO PULL YOUR HAIR BACK OR WEAR A HAT.
Thanks to our good friend Covid, we are reimagining the Fish Fry. This year will be a drive thru service. Much patience and grace will be needed as we plan and put into action a never before drive thru Fish Fry.
Much prepping will go into the front end, so arrival times will start earlier for some positions. Also, there will be many new positions in the parking lot for better coordination and timely service. (Watch out Chik-fil-A!) Don't worry though, we will fully communicate and instruct every volunteer along the way.
Descriptions for some of the jobs include:
Food Line: Pre-fill containers with food options
Food Packers: Fill each food order for take out
Order/Receipt Controller: Check order and staple order form/receipt to bag
Kitchen Food Runner: Refill hot and cold food stations and disposables as needed
Command Tent: Receive cars upon entrance, check status, direct to proper service area, communicate with Main Order Controller to fill order
Area A Controllers: Receive cars in delivery line, identify guest, assist food runners for correct delivery, direct exit, keep cars moving
Area B Controllers: Receive on-site guest orders, communicate with kitchen, handle cash (on-site orders not encouraged, but expected) Will take orders until we run out.
Food Runners: All food runners will be staffed by the 8th graders
Once you sign up you will receive an email with your job description and duties. If you feel this is not the job for you, please switch to other open positions or, refer to the back-up volunteers for replacement.
Adult volunteers will have the privilige of working with our 8th grade graduating class of 2021, as they earn stewardship hours and raise money for their end of year activities. A seperate sign up will go out to them for cookie prep and running food.
Please sign-up for the date, time, and area that you would like to work. If you sign-up to be a back-up you will be contacted if any volunteers cancel.
