Rennell Junior Achievement
Please note that as of 10/8/18 only classes with sign up spaces are available. There will be two spaces available per class for up to 2 adults to sign up as a team. Junior Achievement is a nonprofit which strives to teach kids K-12 concepts about financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work-readiness. Through hands on activities and short, scripted lessons, volunteers teach basic concepts beginning in kindergarten and build on those concepts in subsequent years. Volunteers typically teach five sessions of 30-45 minutes depending on the grade level, or completed in one day. The lessons can be scheduled based on the volunteer's and teacher's availability. Volunteers DO NOT need to have business, finance or economics backgrounds. All teaching concepts are explained thoroughly and written in language appropriate for the class level.
