During the COVID-19 outbreak we are offering Fresh Produce Pickups, where families can pick up fresh fruit, vegetables, and bread by driving up in their cars or by walking up to three Saint Paul locations.
THIS EVENT WILL BE OUTDOORS, IN A COVERED PARKING GARAGE. We will be outdoors to reduce risk of COVID-19 transmission, and will require volunteers to dress accordingly for the weather.
We have two shifts for volunteers during the Fresh Produce Pickup:
Food Distribution Volunteer: Volunteers will sort and bag produce, distribute produce to families, and help clean up after the distribution ends.
Traffic Control Volunteer: Volunteers assist with directing traffic, and communicate traffic rules to participants driving to the distribution.
- We are asking all volunteers to bring your own mask (we have a very limited supply) and to practice social distancing during the event. We will provide gloves and hand sanitizer.
- We will provide orientation materials that you will need to read before attending a distribution. This helps maintain social distancing during the event.
