Sign Up time is almost here! Monday, September 20, 2021 7:00 a.m.
To make this a successful event we will need 28 house volunteers and 4 drivers per shift. Most shifts are three hours and fifteen minutes; a few are four hours and fifteen minutes and a few are three hours. The extra fifteen minute overlap will enable a smoother transition between shifts allowing for transfer of information, money envelopes, and supplies.
If you would like to volunteer, click on the link below in the “Directions”. If you prefer to work with a friend, please make sure that you both sign up separately. There must be only one person per entry. If you have any friends who would like to volunteer and they did not receive this email, please forward this to them for signing up to volunteer. (Last year, we ran into problems with several people signing up indicating that they were bringing extra people. This will not work. Each person MUST sign up individually. Volunteers need to be 16 years of age or older.
You will have the option to select “Volunteer” or “Van Driver.” As a part of our team of volunteers, you will serve as a greeter, a room guide, sell admission or raffle tickets, work in the Christmas Boutique, or sell baked goods in our Sweet Shoppe. Volunteers are being asked to contribute baked goods to be sold in the Sweet Shoppe or, if possible, to make a monetary donation to the Ronald McDonald House. ® Your volunteer position will be determined when you check in and based on greatest need. The “Van Driver'' will drive the shuttle van from the Walmart parking lot to the House, a very short drive. For insurance purposes, all drivers will be contacted by the Ronald McDonald House® staff to complete insurance paperwork.

Choose the time and location (location means Van Driver or Volunteer) you would like to work and click in the little white box next to Sign Up
Click Submit and Sign Up (at the bottom)
The next screen asks for your phone number, asks if you want your information to be saved, and asks if you would like to donate to the bakery. Fill in as necessary.

Christmas Fantasy House Volunteer Information
Thank you for volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House® Christmas Fantasy House. This year’s house is in Pewaukee. Directions to the parking lot and shuttle for the house are listed below.
We appreciate your time and help. We have the following requests of our volunteers.
DUE TO COVID, WE WILL NOT BE GIVING FORMAL BREAKS DURING EACH SHIFT. YOU WILL BE GIVEN A SMALL BOTTLE OF WATER TO TAKE TO YOUR ASSIGNED AREA. YOU WILL ALSO BE GIVEN ANOTHER BOTTLE OF WATER AND A SNACK WHEN YOU ARE LEAVING UPON COMPLETION OF YOUR SHIFT. SINCE WE ARE NOT HAVING FORMAL BREAKS, PLEASE ASK THE PERSON IN THE ROOM NEXT TO YOU OR A COMMITTEE MEMBER TO COVER YOUR AREA IF NEEDED.
Wear Christmas or holiday colored attire for your shift. This will help to provide a festive holiday feeling for our guests. Please, no jeans.
Wear comfortable shoes. You will be standing during the majority of your shift, but a chair will be available when guests are not present in your room.
Please be prompt. Plan to be at the Park and Ride at least ½ hour before your scheduled volunteer shift.
You may only tour the house before or after your shift. There will be no touring the house after the last shift of the day. Please plan accordingly.
Volunteers will be entering through the main entrance. Tell the people at the admission table that you are a volunteer, and you will be directed to the lower level. There will be a sign saying “Volunteer Entrance”.
You will be given a booklet when you sign in for your volunteer shift. Please look it over to familiarize yourself with the house. There will be a sheet in your room with additional information to share with guests.
Please turn off the ringer on your cell phone and do not use it while you are volunteering.

DIRECTIONS: Please park at the Walmart Shopping Center, 411 Pewaukee Rd. This is just north of the Highway 164 and Capitol Drive (Highway190) intersection. Look for the shuttle parking signs/flags to the left of the Walmart store.
Shuttles will begin running at 9:00 am for volunteers and run continuously during the day.
