Gamm Usher Sign Up Sheet
music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim,
book by John Weidman
Success is like failure, It's how you perceive it, It's what you do with it, not how you achieve it.
–Leon Czolgosz to Emma Goldman in Assassins
The nation’s most notoriously successful and would-be presidential assassins inspire each other to dreadful acts in this Tony Award-winning sensation. From John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, Sondheim’s revue-style exposé bends time and space to reveal the underbelly of the American Dream and the country’s culture of celebrity. Don’t miss this audacious and alarmingly funny experience from the master of the modern American musical (A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods).
WINNER OF THE TONY AWARD FOR BEST REVIVAL OF A MUSICAL
“Nothing quite prepares you for the disturbing brilliance of Assassins.” New York Times
“Dark, demented humor, as horrifying as it is hilarious.” Associated Press
“Intelligent and thrilling musical theatre. Dazzling in its originality.” TheaterWeek
Ushers are to arrive one hour prior to performance time. The start time below is the exact time that we would like you to report to the theatre. The end time lets you know when you are done unless you are staying for the show.
If we are sold out and no seating is available, please see the box office manager that evening to make arrangements to see the show at another time.
It is important that you adhere to The Gamm's dress code (no exceptions): plain white dress shirt and black slacks for men, plain white blouse and black slacks/skirt for women.
If you can't make it to a shift, please call the box office as far in advance as possible (401-723-4266) to let us know. We really rely on all of you. You help make the show start on time, which is such an important part of the process.
It's always fun to do things with a partner so ask a friend to tag along! If you know of anyone that may be interested in ushering please forward this link on or let me know and I will contact them. If you don't stay for the show you're only committing an hour of your time, which is so appreciated by both the Gamm staff and the patrons. We do, however, encourage you to stay for the show if there are seats available!
