Gamm Usher Sign Up Sheet
by Joshua Harmon
Sherri Rosen-Mason, head of the admissions department at a New England prep school, is intent on diversifying the student body. Alongside her husband, the school’s headmaster, she’s been largely successful. But when the couple’s only son sets his sights on an Ivy League university, progressive values and self-interest collide with shocking results. This biting comedy-drama by the author of Bad Jews and Significant Other explodes the ideals and contradictions of “liberal” white America.

"Astonishing and daring. An extraordinarily useful and excruciating satire—of the left, by the left, for the left—for today." New York Times
"The nuanced and competing truths . . . are like a first act that dares its spectators to create a second out of post-show conversations." Time Out (New York)
"A smart, hilarious and provocative drama." Hollywood Reporter
Ushers are to arrive one hour prior to performance time. The start time below is the exact time that we would like you to report to the theatre. The end time lets you know when you are done unless you are staying for the show.
If we are sold out and no seating is available, please see the box office manager that evening to make arrangements to see the show at another time.
It is important that you adhere to The Gamm's dress code (no exceptions): plain white dress shirt and black slacks for men, plain white blouse and black slacks/skirt for women.
If you can't make it to a shift, please call the box office as far in advance as possible (401-723-4266) to let us know. We really rely on all of you. You help make the show start on time, which is such an important part of the process.
It's always fun to do things with a partner so ask a friend to tag along! If you know of anyone that may be interested in ushering please forward this link on or let me know and I will contact them. If you don't stay for the show you're only committing an hour of your time, which is so appreciated by both the Gamm staff and the patrons. We do, however, encourage you to stay for the show if there are seats available!
