After School Homework Club
This free, after-school club provides a quiet, peaceful, and productive environment for students to work on homework after school. All students are asked to come prepared with homework to work on independently for the duration of the session. Students will have the opportunity to seek homework help as needed. This club has been created by a Heritage High School volunteer and will be run by the student with an RNS staff member supervising the sessions. The 2:15-2:45 block is specifically reserved for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders while the 2:45 - 3:30 block is reserved specifically for 4th and 5th graders. For safety reasons, students must attend the entire session and will be released to the pick-up loop at the end of the session. First, second and third graders will be dismissed at the regular 4th and 5th grade dismissal time of 2:45. Fourth and fifth-grade parents should arrive by 3:25, as there is no additional loop supervision provided at this time. The club will be held in room 8, Mrs.Ford's classroom. Typical homework supplies will be available as needed: scissors, pencils, glue, crayons, etc. Students are expected to demonstrate C.P.R. at all times and can not impede the learning environment. Students who disrupt the learning of others will be asked to call their parents for early pick-up from the office. By signing your child up to attend the Homework Club, parents are agreeing to on-time pick-up, making sure their child has homework to complete for the entire session, and the behavior expectations.
