Thank you for volunteering to work Front of House positions for EVITA.
Please read the following guidelines before signing up:
The attire for all Front of House volunteers is conservative business casual. This should NOT include jeans, t-shirts, shorts/short skirts, tennis shoes or flip flops. Leggings are acceptable so long as your top falls to at LEAST your mid thigh. Any Front of House volunteer not following the dress code may be asked to volunteer at another time.
Please note: the Concessions Cashier positions are responsible for managing concessions funds and, therefore, must be filled by individuals 18 or older and all usher positions are age 13 and older.
COVID CARDS ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED. MASKS ARE OPTIONAL, BUT STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
House Managing: House Managers should arrive by 6:45 PM for evening performances or by 12:45 PM for a matinee (please note the earlier arrival time). If you would like to train to be a House Manager, please contact Dannette to coordinate a time for training. House Managers are expected to monitor the lobby and house during the show and are therefore given four (4) complementary tickets to another performance of their choice.
Ushering: Ushers should report to the House Manager by 7:15 PM or 1:15 pm and you will be assigned duties (selling concessions, seating patrons, scanning tickets, folding programs, checking restrooms for cleanliness, picking up trash in the theater after the show). If you would like to review your duties, you may want to look at the Front of House Procedures Manual located in the kitchen. In return for your service, you will be given an Usher seat ticket to see the show for free on the day that you usher. Adults can sign up for any of the usher slots, ushers between 13 and 18 years old please sign up for one of the "13+" slots. We need to be sure that we have enough adults on staff for each show.
SIGNING UP MULTIPLE USHERS: please make sure you indicate the number of people you are signing up when you select the appropriate slots.
