Highland Park Parents

Hands-On Science Volunteers

Hands-on classrooms do not look like regular classrooms. They are at times noisy, messy, active, full of questions and discussion. There is conversation, observation, and comparison. It is interactive learning!

Due to the hands-on nature of our classroom, parent volunteers are a vital part of our success! Lessons are pre-planned and materials provided; your responsibility will be to work with a group of 4-6 students to facilitate their involvement and learning of the day's topic and experiments. Specific details to your assignment will be emailed a day or two before your shift so you have a chance to review it before class. Please review the sign-up link for any time you can make available.

Thank you so much for your willingness to volunteer!
