Rydal PTO’s Trunk or Treat will take place on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM. Please read the following directions/guidelines before you fill a spot!
1.) Please one sign up per family, multiple families may combine and decorate one car to cut down on cost.
2.) Once you have signed up you will receive a confirmation email, directing payment options.
•You can pay your $25 by cash, check or PayPal on rydalpto.com.
•Please have all payment into Fall Fest Committee by 3 pm on Friday October 15th.
•If payment is not received, your name will be removed and someone from the waitlist will be given an opportunity to sign up.
3.) Please realize that we will need your car in the West parking lot well before the event begins.
•Check in starts at 4:45pm and cars will NOT be permitted past 5:30.
•Treaters will start at 6pm so your car must be FULLY decorated at that point.
4.) Please remember when decorating your trunk that we have some young students and siblings who will be attending therefore, decorations need to be family friendly.
•Please avoid themes that stress death, blood or fear.
•Your car does not need to stay within the theme of fall (examples that I’ve seen on Pinterest: Candy Lane, a bubble gum machine, Ninja Turtles, etc.)
•Decorations may not extend more than 12” to the left or right of the trunk due to space limitations. Items that extend beyond this may need to be removed.
5.) YOUR VEHICLE MUST REMAIN AT THE EVENT THE ENTIRE TIME INCLUDING A HALF HOUR AFTER THE CLOSING OF EVENT UNLESS DIRECTED OTHERWISE.
•We cannot have cars moving around with people roaming the lot.
•If there is an emergency, please find Beth Miller or Deb Donahue for assistance, we will have a car parked at the entrance.
•Please do not leave the event until you are given permission (we are trying to make it as smooth flowing as possible but I’m sure patience will be needed.)
6.) Once the event has begun you must have 2 people stationed at the trunk at all times.
•Just a suggestion, one person can hand out the treats and the other can stamp the papers.
•An adult needs to be present with the vehicle at all times.
7.) No electricity will be supplied.
8.) Please bring approximately 500 pieces of candy or non-food treats (or a mixture).
•Candy must be individually sealed. Sorry, no homemade treats.
•We are asking that some vehicles hand out items other than candy (i.e. pencils, smalls games, tattoos, erasers, etc.).
•If you run out of items, please see Beth Miller or Deb Donahue, we have a small supplemental supply.
9.) When you check in you will be given a number that corresponds with a spot in the lot, please make sure that your trunk is facing the parking lot.
• Please display your number somewhere on your decorated car so that people can vote for the best decorated car!!
•You will be given a stamper (to avoid people visiting a car multiple times and running through your treats too quickly) we will be giving each participant a flier with 40 slots on it. When they come to visit you, please stamp your car’s number spot with your stamp.
YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TRUNK OR TREAT OR PARTICIPATE IN GAMES WITHOUT A WRISTBAND.
10.) PLEASE be patient, this is a newer event. We want fun and positive vibes throughout the event. If you have any concerns please contact Beth Miller [email protected] or Deb Donahue [email protected]
