Several volunteers are needed at each of the pep rallies held throughout the season, as well as other non-meet related functions, such as the banquet. Pep Rally jobs include set-up, clean up and serving/conducting the pep rally itself. The pep rallies are generally held for each practice group upon completion of each group's practice session. Pep Rally volunteers are required to work for the entire pep rally, meaning each practice group's session, generally speaking from 8-11am.
The final event of the season, the team banquet, is a great end-of-season celebration for the whole family. Volunteers are needed prior to the event to set up the festivities and then help is needed to serve and clean up the event.
These are different volunteer roles at different team events, all contributing to that great NCA spirit!
However, meet assignments take priority over pep rallies. As such, pep rally volunteers may be required to switch to meets. Advance notice will be provided to you, if this occurs. Please sign up to help at meets before pep rallies and please only select one pep rally assignment (along with 3 meet assignments) to fulfill your family's swim team season volunteer requirement. Of course, if you have already signed up for several meets AND you also enjoy helping at pep rallies, then sign up for as many pep rallies as you want!
Pep rally volunteers also must be available for the ENTIRE time period in order for this to fulfill one volunteer job requirement. Please note that this may involve arriving earlier or staying later than your child's scheduled practice times.
Thank you for your help in making the swim season a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved!
