Trailwood Wingmen 2018-2019
Consider this challenge, men. If you realized that you could positively impact Trailwood Elementary and its students and teachers by spending one day a year volunteering, would you? One day a year to deliver the message that, “your education is important enough to me to take a day off of work and spend that day serving the Trailwood community.”
What will a Wingman do?
- Spend time with your children by investing in their classrooms with their teachers.
- Serve as a recess monitor
- Get to eat lunch with your children and serve as a lunch monitor
- Assist with drop off and pickup if you’re available (7:45-8:15 and 3:00-3:15)
Who can be a Wingman? You can! We would love for any father, stepfather, grandfather, or father-figure in the life of any of our Trailwood students to have the opportunity to be involved this year! Your one day of service will add up with others’ days of service to send the message to our kids that dads care and are concerned about their well-being and education.
Sign me up! All you have to do is sign up for one day on this Sign-Up Genius page. Be sure to comment which day you plan to server. Then, just set aside a full school day (8:00am – 3:00pm) – or even a morning or afternoon – to serving as a “Wingman.”
If you have questions about the program, please contact either Eric Sornson or Robert Beltrame who are heading up the program this year.
Thanks for your interest and investment in making a difference at Trailwood this upcoming year!
