Hope Food Pantry Volunteers
NOTE: Due to the construction of our new building and our current facility having to be torn down our volunteer spots for May/June have been reduced. During this time we will be working out of our truck.
PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP BELOW IF YOU CAN COMMIT TO THE ENTIRE TIME. If you would like to help for a shorter period of time, please text Wendy at 704-618-2264. Thank you VOLUNTEERS MUST BE AT LEAST 15 YEARS OLD.
Hope Street Food Pantry is located at 4100 Johnston Oehler Road in Charlotte and is open to everyone (regardless of county residence) every Thursday from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Families are provided a 3+ day supply of food, including toiletries, fresh meat, and produce.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines we are now serving families while they stay in their cars. Groceries are packed by a minimal number of volunteers. Volunteers are also used for produce and carrying bags to the pickup area. All volunteers must be 15 or older, must be able to stand the entire time and must wear a mask covering their nose and mouth for the entire time they are volunteering (gloves, use of hand sanitizer are available). If you can not commit to the entire shift, please do not use this signup. Please text Wendy at 704-618-2264 and let her know your availability.
If you have not volunteered with us before, please show up no later than 3:30 pm on the day you have signed up for so that we can go over processes and information. If you are fluent in Spanish and are interested in helping our check-in team members, please speak with Mel.
If you have any questions about volunteering, please text Wendy at 704-618-2264.
Thank you in advance for helping us to serve our community.
